Hey Guys, today I want to talk about some of the Essentials you need to be looking and feeling sharp this Spring.
Yes I know, it still cold and wet outside but the weather is slowly changing and I want you to be ready for those spring days when they finally arrive! This post is in collaboration with McElhinneys so I’ll be sure to link as much as I can!
ESSENTIAL 1: A LIGHT JACKET
First up its time to put the heavy coats back in the wardrobe for another year and opt for something a bit lighter,
I picked up this Diesel Bomber jacked in navy, this is a colour I am always drawn to and a bomber jacket looks great over a t-shirt or layered up over a hoodie for some extra warmth! A bomber jacket is one of the most reliable pieces you can add to your wardrobe, its great all year round and suits virtually every body type. This Diesel one has some lovely detail that makes it look and feel super expensive.
The Second jacket I picked up was this Farah raincoat, raincoats have been huge so far this year and the sea green colour is so eye-catching. A raincoat is a great way to layer without being too warm and of course essential in our unpredictable weather!
ESSENTIAL 2: FRESH T-SHIRTS
Coming into spring the old t-shirts you have been wearing all winter won’t cut it, there’s nothing nicer than a fresh new t-shirt, make sure you keep the colours light to look stylish this spring! McElhineys have a great selection to choose from, so many, I couldn’t narrow it down any less than 3, these t-shirts can be worn with everything else on the list and are a great base for layering.
ESSENTIAL 3: A NEW FRAGRANCE
It makes sense really, you wouldn’t light a Christmas candle at this time of year so why wear the same fragrance! I very rarely treat myself to a new scent but I couldn’t say no when I smelled this Ralph Lauren aftershave and then found out it came with this Weekend bag absolutely free!! The Ralph Lauren Blue has a cool fresh scent perfect for this time of year and I mean who can turn down a deal like that!
ESSENTIAL 4: NEW JEANS
Its spring a.k.a. time to show some ankle so its the perfect time to invest in new denim, I picked up this pair of dark wash Jack & Jones skinny jeans, not exactly light but I usually wear black haha!
ESSENTIAL 5: WATCH
Ok, this isn’t ‘Essential’ but when I saw the selection available in McElhinneys I couldn’t say no, I didn’t realise they stocked not only Fossil but Michael Kors and Emporio Armani too! This watch isn’t available online yet as it just arrived in stock but make sure and call in to see the full range. Its a stunning Fossil watch with Black leather strap, black face and gold hardware. I LOVE it!
ESSENTIAL 6: SHOES
Spring is the perfect time to get some new footwear, with less rain and snow they stay newer for longer, I again couldn’t narrow it down any further so ended up with two pairs! First, a pair of grey Tommy Hilfiger trainers (as chosen by you guys on Instagram!) and then a fresh pair of black Vans old Skools, my go-to shoe!
