7 TOP MENSWEAR TRENDS FOR 2018

Hey everyone, happy Monday!

Now that Christmas is over and the sales are coming to an end, I thought I’d compile a list of trends you should be keeping an eye out for this year!

Some of these are very easy to incorporate into your current wardrobe and well others, not so much, for example…

CROSS BODY BAGS

This trend has started to blow up towards the end of 2017 and has divided opinions, the trend is essentially a bum bag but worn over the chest. Is it the new backpack? I’m not sure, but I will say its one trend that’s Seriously practical!

ATHLETIC WEAR

Athletic wear is not just for the gym in 2018,

This one is no surprise as it’s been here for a few seasons but its set to stay.  Think about it, there are so many sports stars now influencing us on social media it was bound to rub off on fashion. To stay on trend go for vintage-inspired pieces, fan gear and team jerseys.

COLOUR BLOCKING

While neutrals are having a moment you can stay ahead of the trends and start colour blocking, This was seen on the runways so it looks like vibrant colours are back for summer 2018.

BLACK IS BACK

I mean this is music to my ear, I love wearing black but this season its less about the colour and more how you wear it  ‘minimal dressing’ is set to be big, so keeping very little accessories, details and shades to master the look.

VELVET

Velvet is going to be back in a big way during 2018,  more than likely we won’t be seeing it on the high street until autumn winter but it been all over the Fashion Week catwalks from designers like Oliver Spencer and Band of Outsiders.

THE PUFFER JACKET

The Bigger the better is the way to tackle this trend, don’t worry about looking like you just stepped off your ski’s, everyone will be doing it!

DECADENCE

It used to be saved for womenswear but almost every 2017 designer show featured embellished menswear.

This year, it’s going to make its way down from brands like Dolce & Gabbana to the high street. Think less floral and diamonds,  more metal hardware, regal influence and luxurious details. Can I wear a crown?

Thanks for reading! I hope you are as excited to see what 2018 has in store for our wardrobes as I am!
