I can not believe I am finally here, right now, sitting in my new accommodation for the next year. As a huge home-bird, I finally had to take the step and had to go.. a whole 2 hours away lol
Moving to University was a big deal for me, but as soon as I heard about Fresh Student Living’s John Bell House I knew it was the place for me, it’s the exact opposite of what you would expect student accommodation to be like, and being OCD clean the fact everything would be brand new was brilliant.
John Bell House is the old Belfast Metropolitan College building located in college square Belfast ( just down from the Europa) Fresh Student Living took it over, rejuvenating the building with a £16m refurbishment for September 2016. when booking I was one of the first so had my pick of the rooms, I chose a front facing bronze room which has a small double bed, desk, wardrobe space and en-suite shower room, it is in a shared flat with 5 others who all share a large circular shaped kitchen/ social space .
John Bell house is such a good alternative to getting a flat in first year as it gives you all the independence you need but it also has 24-hour security and someone on hand in case you need anything. The team also hosts a variety of events in the grand hall which allows you to socialise and meet people other than those in your flat.
There is also the option to stay at john bell house for every year you are at university which is seriously tempting (if i can afford it!)
